GRP Sectional Tanks
Braithwaite has also built a solid reputation over the last 25 years providing Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) Tanks. Braithwaite GRP tank panels are produced using the hot press moulding process in controlled manufacturing conditions. They are designed using finite element analysis techniques having a factor of safety in excess of the requirements of BS EN 13280: 2001 the specification for GRP cisterns for the storage of cold water. Additionally, design factors such as hydrostatic pressure, wind load, snow load, seismic load, etc., of the area where the tank will be erected are all taken into consideration during preliminary tank design. The tank panels shall have a minimum glass content of 30% and shall be ivory in colour.
